Garden Club of Inverness has been an active and
vibrant community-oriented organization in the northwest-
suburban Chicago area since 1941.

The Garden Club of Inverness helps with the beautification
of local public spaces, promotes the preservation of native
plants, provides garden therapy for the elderly, and funds
scholarships for local horticultural students. Club members
participate in more than twenty informational and social
activities throughout the year.

Club meetings are held on the third Thursday of the months
September through April at All Saints Lutheran Church, 630
South Quentin Road in Palatine. They begin at 9:30 a.m.
and end by noon. December and May meetings are replaced
by festive holiday and spring luncheons.  A summer garden
walk is the last activity of the year.

Home-baked refreshments are served at meetings, and an
informational presentation is given.  Additional club
programs, workshops and field trips focus on
garden-related subjects and activities.

Annual dues are $30.  Yearly membership booklets are
provided, and each member receives
Garden Glories
magazine from The Garden Clubs of Illinois.

Garden Club of Inverness is dedicated to the education,
promotion, practice, and pure enjoyment of gardening.

Visitors are always
welcome!
In time of silver rain
The butterflies
Lift silken wings
To catch a rainbow cry,
And trees put forth
New leaves to sing
In joy beneath the sky
As down the roadway
Passing boys and girls
Go singing, too,
In time of silver rain
When spring
And life
Are new.
